What is a residential voice usage for local service?
For service packages which include unlimited local, intraLATA, and/or interLATA usage, the services are available for residential voice calling only. If it is determined that usage is not consistent with residential voice applications, such as for Internet access services, commercial facsimile or auto-dialing, telemarketing or other non-residential uses; Company may immediately suspend, restrict or cancel the customer’s service without prior notice and assess and additional $50.00 monthly recurring charge for each month in which such usage occurred. Incidental Internet and other data usage is permitted, provided however, that any usage in excess of 3,000 minutes per month shall be presumed to be not consistent with residential voice applications and shall be subject to the conditions above.

Do I have to sign up on the Web or is there a toll-free number?

What advantage is there in signing up on the Web?
It is simple, convenient, and secure. Sign up anytime, 24 hours a day.

Is my information safe?
Your information is confidential and will not be used for any other purposes without your permission. All credit card information is encrypted for optimum security. For more details, see our security policies.

Will my personal information be used for any other purposes?
No. Your personal information will not be used for any other purposes without your permission.

Can I sign up with multiple numbers?
Absolutely. You can have multiple numbers with KISS.

Do I have to make any term commitments or sign any contracts?
No. There are no term commitments or contracts to sign. You can cancel your service at anytime with no further obligation.

How long before my service is activated?
In most cases, your service will be activated within two weeks and sometimes within a few days. Service activation is dependent on your Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) and activation times vary in each calling area.

Why are the rates so much lower than companies like AT&T and MCI?
KISS is a part of the Covista Communications nationwide fiber optic network, and we have one of the most efficient call routing systems in the country. We have been in business since 1983 and have always provided our customers with some of the best rates in the industry.

Do my rates vary depending on the time of day I call?
No. Unlike most plans offered by our competitors, KISS offers a flat rate for all your calls no matter what time of day.

How do KISS rates differ from other companies?
KISS rates are as much as 70% lower than our competitors, depending on the plan you choose. For more details, see our rates comparison.

Are my calls billed in 60-second increments?
No. Your calls are billed in six (6) second increments, so unlike most other plans, you only pay for the time you talk. If you talk for 12 seconds, you only pay for 12 seconds, not a full minute.

Can I use KISS for international calls?
Absolutely. KISS has some of the most competitive international rates in the industry.

Is my credit card charged automatically?
Yes, at the end of each billing month. You will receive an email confirming your charges. You can also log in anytime at www.kissld.com and view your account status, including your bill.

Will you notify me when my credit card is charged?
Yes, You will receive an email confirming your charges and you can check your account status anytime at www.kissld.com by logging in with your customer ID and password.

How will I know when my monthly bill is ready?
Once we have established what billing cycle you are on, you will be billed at the same time each month. You can also check your account status anytime at www.kissld.com.

Can I receive a statement through the mail?
Yes. You can receive a paper statement through the mail for an additional $2 a month, but your payment will be made through a monthly charge to your credit card.

Are there any hidden charges?
None. Just a low $3.00 a month service fee, 3¢ a minute for all your state-to-state calls and all applicable charges for your in-state calls based your instate rate.
